 To All Line Staff:

Many of you may know by now, that the EPA Region is moving to on line database management of our most important programs.  These programs include regional roster management, OEC Refresher and OEC Instructor Administration, and the new EMS program adminstration.

All line staff members are encouraged to create an account (if you haven't already) by going to https://www.nspepa.org/members/ and clicking the Create An Account button on the left side of the page and follow the simple directions.  You will need your NSPID number, and zip code handy.  After your account has been created, either Wolfgang Boernert or Jeffory Beckers will have to manually upgrade your security level, and you will be notified via e-mail when this happens.

While we will be continually adding functionality to this system, we have added a few tools which patrol directors/patrol representative, section chiefs, and section OEC coordinators should find useful.

After your account has been upgraded by Wolfgang or Jeffory, you can log into the system and you will have a menu link at the top of the page entitled "Advisors".

You will have an EMS Coordinators section and a Line Staff section on this page.

There are two reports that you will have access to:

1. EMS Coordinator Roster Report (EPA & WAR Region) :  This report is a list of your patrollers and what their current EMS program status is.  You can use this report to help in our grass roots efforts to notify everyone about the program and its benefits.  Our goal is to have ALL patrollers in the region sign up for the program, even if it is notify us that they are not interested in participating.

2. OEC Refresher Attendance Report (EPA Region Only): This report is a list of your patrollers and their current OEC Refresher status within the region.  The fields to review are the last two fields as they indicate whether a patroller has attended an EPA region OEC refresher.  We are aware that a few individuals attended OEC Refreshers, but have fallen through the cracks of our new electronic registration process, so please check the list carefully, and as soon as possible so that we can correct any errors.  If you are a section chief or section coordinator, there will be tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet for each patrol in your section for this report.

Lastly, you should check the entire roster carefully against your records as the roster information was provided to us from the national office and they had several database programs late last year into early this year.  There is a good chance that some of your patrollers are missing from our regional database as a result of this.
