the "off-season". Geisinger
Medical Center in Danville PA is hosting a MedWar Adventure Race on
August 13th! This is a high intensity race during which you will have
a chance to prove your medical skills in several medical scenarios. Race is
open to anyone (no specific prerequisites) but at least one medical person
is recommended. Please see website below.

15th.
Due to complications received from a brain injury as a result from a fall in
February, 2010.
Private services were held in Colorado where he resided with his son, Bernie,
Jr.
His formal memorial services in the East are going to be held at:
Sts.
Simon & Jude Church in West Chester, PA at 10a., Saturday, June 12.

Mountain & Blue Mountain

is set to launch a high-adrenaline series called SKI PATROL.
Premiering Monday, Oct. 20, at 8 pm the series follows an elite group of
patrol units at Blue Mountain, Pa., and Crystal Mountain, Washington.

Meeting Summary Notes from NBOD Annual Meeting 2008
Greetings All-
Attached you will find a summary of the NBOD Annual
Meeting held on June 19-21, 2008 in Lakewood, Colorado. Please note that this is just a
summary based upon my notes and the official meeting
minutes should be referenced for greater details.
Generally, as described in my notes, much work was
done by your National Board and I think that most
Patrollers would agree with the decisions that were
made. Let me know if you have any questions.

OFFICIAL NATIONAL SKI PATROL
SPECIAL ELECTION BALLOT AND INFORMATION
The special election to
select members of the National Ski Patrol Board of Directors
is now open and this e-mail is your notification that you
may now vote electronically. Ten candidates have been
nominated to fill five vacancies on the board of directors.
You will find 250-word biographies from each candidate on
the same website as you will find your electronic ballot.
You will also find the same biographies prepared by the
nominees along with their complete applications on the
National Ski Patrol website,
www.nsp.org. Names appear in
alphabetical order on the National Ski Patrol website.
You may vote for up to five
candidates. Voting closes 11:59 P.M. (EST), February 15,
2006.
If you have any problems or

Eastern Division National Ski Patrol

Patrollers of the Eastern Division-
Today the results of the vote to determine if the by-laws of
the National Ski Patrol should be revised were announced.
approximately 30% of all NSP Patrollers voted in the
election and 94% of those voting cast their ballots in favor
of the changes. These results mean both of the requirements
of Colorado law regarding member input into non-profit
organizations have been met in that more than 25% of the
members have cast ballots and more than half of those
members voting approved the proposed changes. In simple
terms this means that the proposed changes to the by-laws
have been approved and will be made. More details about the
vote results may be found on the National web site at
www.nsp.org.
The next step will be the election of five new National
Board of Directors. Their election will be performed using
the newly approved member voting process. Your Region
Directors and I wish to thank you for casting your ballots
and for your patience and perseverance throughout this
process. We will keep you updated as the National Board
election draws closer.
