News 2011
Division Seminar held at Sugarloaf, Maine this year...
From:

Subject: travel arrangements to Sugarloaf - IMPORTANT Hello
everyone!
Good news. I’ve been able to arrange some very affordable
transportation to Sugarloaf. For this to work, there is
strength in numbers. We need to get as many people to go as
possible and I need your help. So here’s the deal:
THE PRICE: About $150 per person (unbelievable!). I do not
know the registration cost for the event but I’m assuming it
will be around $300. That makes this entire trip under $500
(not including the $100 underwriting the EPA Region
generously provides to the YAPs).
HOW I PULLED THIS OFF: I have a good friend who owns a
small charter bus company. He is interested in taking this
trip along with some of his friends and family members
(including a total of 3 people with bus drivers licenses).
He probably has about 6 or 7 people that want to go for the
skiing. Combine his people with our people and the cost
drops dramatically.
THE BUS: This commercial bus has the seats arranged with
two on one side of the bus and one on the other side of the
bus with an extra wide aisle in between. The seats recline
sufficiently that people can bring a pillow and get some
sleep…..more on that later. There are four card tables with
seats, CD players, DVD players, bathroom, and some walking
around room. Plenty of luggage space for skis, snowboards,
and extras.
THE SCHEDULE: The bus will leave Baltimore late afternoon
on Thursday, March 17th. He will pick me up in the
Harrisburg area on his way north. We will then stop at a
pre-arranged place along the route closer to everybody else
to pick up all remaining passengers sometime around 6:00
