Due to COVID-19 - It is advised to seek Con-Ed Courses to maintain your EMS Certifications outside the scope of the EPA Region OEC Refreshers. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

OEC to EMT Bridge Course

I will be running the EMT bridge course next summer for those who are interested. I will send out an announcement during the ski season with the class dates and details.

Bear Creek Ski Patrol will be hosting a Bridge course for any patroller interested is advancing their OEC Technician Certification to the next level of EMT.


There are three major categories for the course:

  • Online Self Study - Patrollers refresh themselves on the information already covered by OEC. This can be done remotely and at their pace.
  • Class Room - This involves select lectures and skill labs which patrollers will have to be present for.
  • Ride A Longs - All patrollers will have to run on the ambulance to observe 10 patient contacts and how the EMS crews operate.
