Carl "Scott" Nedal - Jack Frost

January 12, 1948 - October 15, 2016


Carl Scott Nedal, 68, of Blakeslee, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg.  Born January 12, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Carl F. and Margaret Dorsey Nedal.

Scott graduated from Neshaminy High School and Pennsylvania Military College, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He was a High School English Teacher in the Neshaminy School District in Langhorne, from where he retired after 33 years of service.  For more than 40 years, he was a member of the Eastern Division of the National Ski Patrol and was a ski instructor at Jack Frost/Big Boulder Ski Resorts, where he was a great mentor to many and acquired many friends.  Scott always enjoyed the outdoors, landscaping, fishing, and horseback riding, and especially loved being out on his boat.

Scott will be sadly missed by his only daughter, Kirsten Brie Abrams and his Grandson Jaden Noah Abrams-McFarlane, of Mequon, Wisconsin.  Also surviving is his sister, Janice Lynn Piechowiak and her husband Wayne of Tampa, FL; two nephews, Jason and Matthew Piechowiak; a niece, Amy Millican; and his companion of many years, Brenda Korpics of Bethlehem. 

As per Scott’s wishes all services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, Nazareth.
